David "Honeyboy" Edwards a fost născut la 28 iunie 1915 în Shaw, Mississippi.
El este o legenda vie, şi povestea lui este cu adevărat o parte din istorie.
Honeyboy si-a impletit viata cu aproape toate marile blues legenda, inclusiv Robert Johnson, Charlie Patton, Big Joe Williams, Rice "Sonny Boy Williamson" Miller, Howlin 'Wolf, Peetie Wheatstraw, Sunnyland Slim, Lightnin' Hopkins, Big Walter, Little Walter , Magic Sam, Muddy Waters.
The Blue Shoe Project along with surviving blues legends David "Honeyboy" Edwards and Pinetop Perkins took home the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album of the Year at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 10, 2008.
